Robina Police and Volunteers in Policing (ViPs), Gold Coast City Councillor Hermann Vorster (Division 11) and Gold Coast District Neighbourhood Watch and have been working closely in recent months to develop crime prevention strategies for Robina and Varsity Lakes.

Part of this activity has involved the successful application by Robina ViPs for a Gold Coast City Council grant to purchase computer and data equipment to enable them to better monitor crime prevention activities and to make it easier to present crime prevention strategies and ideas to local schools, residents and community groups.

Senior Sergeant Andrew Frick said that the Robina Volunteers in Policing and Neighbourhood Watch were very active in the area.

“Our volunteers provide valuable information to residents and businesses on how to safeguard property, reduce anti-social behaviour and increase personal and public awareness about crime prevention,” Senior Sergeant Frick said.
